What is resolv?

Resolv is a protocol maintaining USR, a stablecoin natively backed by Ether (ETH) and pegged to US Dollar.

Protocol mechanism

The protocol structure can be divided into two layers, the USR stablecoin layer and the RLP volatility buffer layer.

On the principle of stablecoins, USR, like Ethena, adopts a delta neutral strategy of hedging against futures and cash, which holds ETH spot and corresponding short positions as the underlying support assets of stablecoins, and uses the funding costs of short positions as protocol income.

Unlike Ethena, An RLP layer has been added to tokenize Ethena’s insurance vault, which is used to absorb losses caused by empty orders (in cases where the funding rate is negative). At the same time, the underlying assets of the protocol that exceed 100% of the stablecoin USR will serve as supporting assets for RLP.

Distribution of benefits under the agreement

At present, the income distribution of the agreement mainly flows to three places: stUSR (pledged USR), RLP, and the agreement treasury.
